Name
Brianna Isela Garcia
Tell us a little about you(your background and how was it like)?
I am a 18 year old Latina college student. I was born here in the United States at the point of Texas down south. I attended Los Fresno’s High school, as a senior I got certified as a (CNA) Certified Nurse Assistant. I’ve always been interested in the medical field and now I’m pursuing Radiology at Texas Southmost College. I am a girl that enjoys going out, and spending quality time with my family.
What do you value most from your country?
I value the open mindedness about my country. Not everyone may have the same political or religious opinions but there are people in this world who will not let that get in the way of forming new bonds with each other and I honor that so much. That’s how I came across my loving friend.
Who influences you to go after your goals?
I’d say my parents, they work hard nonstop. College isn’t the most easiest to pay off, and if I’ll be frank the government isn’t at all a help when it comes to FASFA. My parents have made cuts everywhere here and there just so I can be able to pursuer my goals and achieve them. They give me strength, hope, ambition to strive higher.
What advice can you give a teen about going through hardships?
I’ve had plenty of struggles psychologically, and biologically. I’d say to keep your head higher, cause the second you give into your conscious about feeling down or giving up you’re giving it the upper hand. Only you can make yourself feel down and only you can make yourself strive higher. The mind is a powerful being, but you as a whole are stronger. Find solutions, and not just one but various and if they’re no solutions keep looking. The world never stops turning so you have the time to keep looking and it it’s too much, get help there’s nothing bad about getting help. I had help and it was the best ghouls I could’ve made. I wouldn’t have been here today if it wasn’t for the people in my life who have supported me and help me through my hardships.
If you and only three wish to change your family or the world’s life what would they be?
I would change my family. My family had so many flaws and that’s what makes them so perfect. I have the funniest family members; is those laughs that your abdomen hurts so bad you check to see if your abs came in. I would use the 3 wishes on the world. Fix all poverty, ends wars, fix climate change. These 3 problems are huge in our current state of life and they’re not being resolved the way they should be, but I’ll keep wishing a miracle soon comes our way.
Was there a time u helped others out?
Everyday, even if it’s the most littlest things. Holding a door open, handing papers, study for exams. All those things are counted as helping others and I myself throw myself to help others. It’s a way of socializing it’s the way of life. That’s how we as the people should always be, helping others out. The things that could change if we just helped a higher out.
Are you happy in the position you are now in life?
I am more that happy! I always will be even if I’m at my lowest. I’ll be grateful for everything that comes my way, because it’s my choices that will get me there so that’s something to keep in mind.

Tell us a little about you(your background and how was it like)?
I’m a young women from Northern Ireland. So far, life has been proven hard through negative impacts of the people surrounding me and social media use.
What are the bad things you see on social media?
Consistently through social media, you see the “ideal” body sizes, I.e abs or flat stomachs, big bums or boobs. It’s just the way it is now. Unfortunately this has such a big impact on the users of social media, it makes them believe that they should look like that too. Internationally, the media’s perception of “beautiful” or the “right” body type, ruins people’s self esteem. It creates pits of depression, and lack of self worth- especially for those who don’t see their body the way it is on social media. Personally, i believe every body of any size and shape is beautiful. Not only this, social media gives the opportunity for cyber bullying. The chance to be a keyboard warrior, and tear people down and ruin their self esteem.
What are the hardships you go through?
Well, life in general is difficult. If you didn’t have a rocky life you wouldn’t be human. Depression plays a big role in my life, as I’m sure it does with many others. It’s a rocky road, but I somehow manage. What people don’t seem to understand however, is how sensitive one can be when they suffer with depression. That’s probably the hardest thing I deal with- trying my best not to get hard feelings over small things, and trust me… Its a hard task! Depression isn’t just feeling sad, it’s a constant battle against your thoughts, it’s getting angry at small words, it’s belittling yourself extremely. It’s being happy for a while, and then I’m just a second it changing completely. The quote that seems to help me the most is, “Don’t let people’s inability to see your worth, define your worth”
What are your goals in life?
This is a hard question for me, it’s rather hard to decide what you want to do with your life at such a young age. I suppose if I had to chose however, I would like to work with animals. Animals have always been a large part in my life, and growing up around animals has hugely helped me stay out of trouble over the years. Being involved with horses has had a huge impact on the way I’ve formed as a person. Instead of going out drinking like most teenagers would, I would spend my time down with the horse. Sometimes I would even just sit there with him, and do absolutely nothing. It’s the most peaceful thing in the world.
What would you do if you could change the world?
Again, another hard question. There’s so much I would change if I could, as there is so much wrong with the world. However, if I could wish it away, I would have to say I’d change the fact there are starving people all around the world. No one should have to suffer like that, no one should have to wonder if they will wake up in the morning. What makes it worse, is the fact the children are suffering too. Children should be free to run around and play, they shouldn’t be bloated and too low energy to play with eachother. It breaks my heart to think that people all over the world have to suffer in such a way.
Are you happy in the position you are now in life?
No matter how hard I try, I don’t think I will ever be happy in the position I am in now. At the end of the day, there will always be more to strive for, more opportunities you could take. More charitable contributions you could make. Unfortunately you can’t achieve every single goal handed to you, but I will be happy enough trying to do such a thing. My point is, there will always be more to achieve in life, and that’s why I’m not happy with my life currently – because I could and probably should be doing more to help others, and most importantly help myself!

I value the Internet a lot and how social media give us a platform to use to express but to network our way around to different people across the globe and help others but use to make sure we connect with people who do music, photography, journalist and modeling.
