Name
Elias Orman
Tell us a little about you(your background and how was it like)?
Well I’m a hip hop artist & producer, and I also work for my friends food delivery business. I got into music because I’ve always written poetry and i just combined that with music. I love the art of self expression, and use it as a means to escape, or reflect, or influence the people around me. Plus I just want to leave a part of myself behind after I’m dead. It’s something I’ve always wanted to pursue, but always doubted myself and never could get straight enough to realistically make it happen until about 3 years ago. I struggled with drug addiction from a young teen up until about 21. After a rehab visit and a couple relapses I finally started doin some things right and have been sober goin on 3 years. Somehow I was able to keep it together enough to get my associates degree at Austin Peay State University, but to be honest I’ve always hated school. I felt like I was wasting a lot of time and in the middle of the first semester back I decided to drop out to work and pursue music seriously. I’ve learned more in the past years than I ever have at school and I’ve been much happier. Overall, my background experience I would say is pretty nostalgic. I mean, I have some good memories, but it’s only been recently over the last 3 years that I’ve experienced something like true friendships, true passion for things, and living life in the moment and feeling everything.
What are the bad things you see on social media?
I see quite a bit of projected feelings and negativity. A lot of people want to argue to be right.. instead of really considering perspectives and learning something new. I also see a lot of clout chasing and inauthenticity but I avoid all that and focus on what I’m doing and saying.
What are the hardships you go through?
A lot of self doubt and insecurity. I struggle with being consistent in managing my aspirations to do what’s next in my music career. Although I find a way, it’s still difficult to discipline yourself. And although sobriety is my life now I still struggle with staying sober and living life completely abstinent from substances.
What are your goals in life?
I want to be able to make a comfortable living financially off of just making music and my entrepreneurship. But outside of that I want to be a loving and influential person. I believe I have a lot too offer to the world if I can figure out how to harness all of that potential. My meta-goal is to live by and tell my truth the best I know how and always attempt to make my life and the lives around me better.
What would you do if you could change the world?
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the world. But I would like to change the way some people look at the world and how they treat it and their fellows.
Are you happy in the position you are now in life?
Absolutely! This is the happiest I’ve ever been in my life. But it’s dependent upon my goals as well. I’m not happy all the time and I lose satisfaction very quickly.
What questions would you like me to make next for the new interviees coming to the website?
Maybe ask what their stance is on free will, idk.
