Reyna Escandor
Tell us a little about you(your background and how was it like)?
I was born and raised in toronto, I lived all over constantly moving. I am Filipino and part Spanish. I come from a very street type of environment and it influenced my style today, how I walk how I talk the way I think. My parents raised me proper taught me from right and wrong, set me morals, laid a lot of valuable knowledge for me, told me what to look out for.
What are the bad things you see on social media?
A lot of clout chasers. People are really out here saying whatever and doing whatever to get clout. People do a lot of shit on social media to have people pay attention to them and they don’t care wether it’s bad or good and that’s the scary part.
What are the hardships you go through?
My childhood was partially good only because my parents worked so hard to shield me from all the bad shit in the world. They had sacrificed and pushed so much for me to be able to be where I am today. I only have them to thank and they are the people I look up to the most because I wouldn’t be able to to half of the shit they did for me. I never really had to face much adversity because my parents taught me and raised me to be able survive in the real world. But people wise, a lot of people, even my teachers, told me I could never make it to university and that that wasn’t the path for me, but yet here I am. A lot of people underestimated me and it took a toll on my way of thinking and kind of set me in a dark place for a while.
What are your goals in life?
My goal in life is to be able to afford my own house, my own car, afford my own things, overall be financially stable and more. Maybe one day be able to pay back my parents for all that they’ve done for me. Make them proud and have them be able to go to their friends and be like that’s my daughter.
What would you do if you could change the world?
I would speak out at schools all over and encourage students and people like myself that they can do whatever they say their minds to. I would tell them my story and hopefully encourages and motivate kids to chase their goals.
Are you happy in the position you are now in life?
I’m still striving towards my goals, it’s gonna take a while but I’m determined.
What questions would you like me to make next for the new interviees coming to the website?
has anyone ever underestimated you?
