Kayla Christine
Tell us a little about you(your background and how was it like)?
My parents divorced when I was about a year and a half old. I grew up an only child. Both my parents worked alot. So my Grandmothers helped raise me. I went to public school until 6th grade when I failed. So i started Catholic private school my second year of 6th grade. I was bullied very badly. So I failed my first year of 7th grade. So my mom switched me to a Lutheran private school and it was the best thing to happen to me. I finally was able to make good friends. Then my first year of high school my mom had my sister. I got to name her! I was shocked at first, finding out. But I was so excited! I always wanted siblings! I hated being the only child. My childhood was not all sunshine and rainbows.
What are the bad things you see on social media?
I see some terrible things on social media. I see posts about Parents killing their babies and people killing others. You also see people bullying each other, tons of nasty comments. It’s so sad. Why do people feel the need to put so much hate in the world?
What are the hardships you go through?
Growing up, I just wanted my parents attention. But they were busy working. I am so thankful for what they did for me but i just wanted them around. I grew up afraid to tell my parents things. So I held everything in. Things happened to me as a child that I never told anyone. Until I went to therapy. I was sexually taken advantage of as a child, from other children. I didn’t understand. As I got older I got into partying. I hid everything with the help of alcohol and drugs. When I finally got help, I learned that I used alcohol and drugs to cope with things that happened to me as a child.
What are your goals in life?
I started my own Mobile Spray Tanning Business. I would love to see it go farther than just Mobile Spray Tanning. I’m not sure what though. I also want to help people. I have done some volenteering work in the past. I would love to do more.
What would you do if you could change the world?
I would love to travel the United States just helping people. I feel like we have so many families with no where to live and no food to feed their children. I would love to do something for those people.
Are you happy in the position you are now in life?
Yes and no. I can be doing so much more. Volunteering, maybe working more, the only thing I am happy about is the time I get to spend with my son. He is the love of my life and with my childhood, I make sure I spend as much time with him as possible.
