Introduce Yourself: Hi my name is Kanokkorn Jeri Powell and I live in Canada. I was born in Thailand and loved to Canada at a young age because where I lived was not, what people would say, should friendly. My parents are separated and I love with my father. I am part of the lgbt+ community and I enjoy making people happy.
Thoughts On People In The World?: People in the world are different. Everyone is. We all have different views, we all believe in different things and we all love differently. The thing that people in this world need to learn is to embrace the differences we have with each other instead of putting down said differences.
What are your inspirations & goals?: Ever since I was young I wanted to join the army. I was inspired when I was six years old and I saw a soldier reunited with her family. I didn’t really think about it much when I was little but ever since that day, I always wanted to help people and do things that would make my family, friends, and peers proud.
How would you impact the world?: I would impact the world by showing everyone that being different is a great thing to follow. It teaches us new things that incourages humans to become more intelligent and inspired.
Struggles In Life? : I have a few struggle in life. When I was born, I lived in Thailand but sadly had to leave all my friends and family behind. I was bullied as a kid for not being able to speak properly but it incouraged me to work harder. Growing up I lived in a harsh environment at home, the people in my family is not a very nice and polite type. When things go wrong, they get mad and start yelling which caused me to become very sensitive. Not too long ago my parents got separated and it was really rough. Luckily things are slowly getting better.
How do you feel about yourself? Any changes you would make? : I have many things I would like to change about myself but I’ve came to the realization that I should love me for me. Sometimes I lose sight of what is important to me but I always come back to reality sooner or later.
What does love mean to you?: Love is a difficult thing to explain. At first, I saw love as my parents and how happy they are. My mum had my older brother at 15 and me at 17 but my dad was much older. Sadly throughout the years things began to get tough. After their separation I was lost about love. I went into a deep depression but soon afterwards I found my love for writing and exercising. I also realize the warmth that I get when I do something nice for someone or simply compliment them at random times and seeing a smile pop on their face can also be considered as love. Love is everywhere. You just need to know where to look.
