Erin Interview

Introduce Yourself: Hello, I’m Erin! I’m a 21 year old First Nations woman from Saskatchewan!

Thoughts On People In The World?: I believe that there is good in everyone, no matter how small it may be.

What are your inspirations & goals?: My mother is my biggest inspiritation. She raised three children on her own & has never missed a day of work. She constantly strives to be the best version of herself. She is definitely my role model. My short term goal is to get my BSN. My long term goal is to get my PhD in microbiology or something related to that.

How would you impact the world?: I’m not sure how I would impact the world, but I feel that by being a registered nurse, I would be able to impact someone’s life.

Struggles In Life? : The hardest struggle in my life would be raising my two children on my own. I had them at 16 & 19. It was a struggle to finish high school but I did. I just completed my first year of university! Another big struggle of mine would be dealing with the stereotypes associated being First Nations.

How do you feel about yourself? Any changes you would make? : I feel that I’m at a pretty good point in my life and I’m quite confident in myself. I wouldn’t make any changes to my life.

What does love mean to you?: Love means to be patient & understanding. It means to always have their best interest at heart. I feel that love is synonymous with honesty &a loyalty.
