Samara Johnson Interview

Introduce Yourself: Hi, I’m a senior in high school and I’m 17 years old.

Thoughts On People In The World?: There are many different kinds people in this world. There’s good people out there, bad and then there are people who can’t be catagorized. I like to believe thatthere is good in everyone though. The only difference between good and bad people, is whether or not they choose to do good or not.

What are your inspirations & goals?: My main goal in life is to become a homicide detective. But currently, my goal is to finish high school, and then go to college to get a degree in criminal justice. My friends, family and a few of my teachers served as inspriations to me. It’s because of them that I work so hard.

How would you impact the world?: I’d fight and do my part in protecting the citizens that I can.

Struggles In Life? : Growing up, I had to spend the first ten years of my life in a single mother household, while my dad would visit on weekends and such. After that amount of time, the roles flipped causing me to live with my father and go see my mother on holidays. I’d add a low self-esteem, and anxiety to that list.

How do you feel about yourself? Any changes you would make? : I’m aware that I am not perfect. My hair is deadly for combs, and it isn’t long. My face looks so chubby at times. I’m chubby myself, and clumsy! And I cannot sing for the life of me. I think the singing thing, and hair length I wiuld indeed change. But as far as my personality and everything else, I wouldn’t change–it makes me, well, me.

What does love mean to you?: Love is a very powerful thing. It’s a driving force at times, and can both be so sweet and hurt you all the same. For me, it means to really care for someone–and who they are as a person, despite their flaws and quirks.
