David Sapyta Interview

Introduce Yourself: Hello, I am David Sapyta and I am 18 years old. I am an outgoing and competitive person. I strive to be the greatest I can be in anything. I will be attending the University of Iowa next year and will chase my dreams of becoming a Hawkeye alumni.

Thoughts On People In The World?: I believe people are too sensitive and take too many things to heart. They need to focus on themselves and their loved ones, though it may sound selfish, what’s the point of living if you’re there to satisfy others than the ones who matter to you most or yourself?

What are your inspirations & goals?: My goal is to graduate from the university of Iowa and make the national cheer team and also marry my girlfriend. My girlfriend and my teammates are my largest inspiration, my girlfriend always wants the best for me and gets on me to chase my goals in life and my teammates that suffered season or carreer ending injuries inspire me to take advantage of every moment because you never know when it’s your last.

How would you impact the world?: In all honesty I do not believe one person can make an impact on the world, but one can help start it. Through my hard-work and driven personality I hope it’ll rub off on people and spread so they open their eyes and realize that one needs to work to achieve their goals, they’re not handed out. With a driven mindset I firmly believe one can almost accomplish anything and if the majority of the world has that mindset, it’ll be a place of prosperity and peace because people will chase their dreams instead of trying to appeal to everybody else’s ideals.

Anything else you wanna say to people in the world? : Chase your dreams and put yourself first, it’s not selfish. Wanting to be happy and achieve greatness is only selfish if it’s at another person’s expense. Live your life, go with the flow and don’t take the little things in life for granted.
