Akerekan Olakunle Michael Interview

Introduce yourself?: My name is Akerekan Olakunle Michael. I’m a web developer based in Nigeria. I’m 19 and I started coding at age 15. I could remember vividly, it wasn’t easy back then but we give thanks to God now. I’m a great fan of technology That’s just everything about me!

What inspires you everyday?: We don’t have a lot of time, and there is so much to see, learn, and do. If we sit around and wait for things to fall in place before we start living, we will be sitting forever.

So, I tell myself to get on my feet early in the morning and do all the things I imagined myself doing.

What is something you would change about people in the world?: I will remove the geographical boundaries from the world, there will be no different countries, no different citizenships. One globe ,one citizenship, I person will be allowed to travel anywhere in the world without any restriction. We all will be GLOBAL CITIZENS.

How do you feel about the people in the world?: I often feel that the world around me is so fake. People are just competing, even with their friends. We are supposed to be happy with what they tell us to do. We are suppose to do what has always been done. It is all to keep the system going. Find like minded people who aren’t subscribing to all this mental clutter.

What is something you’ve struggled with in life?: What are you struggling with in your life? What would you like to have instead?

This question previously had details. They are now in a comment.

I struggle to stay disciplined. Freelancing and entrepreneurship free you from an enforced schedule and eyes constantly over your shoulders, but these are double-edged swords.

The freedom and flexibility of setting your own schedule and priorities is necessary for visionary work. However, it’s more important to just get things done, quickly and thoroughly. Personality flaws like perfectionism, sleeping late, and prioritizing by fun instead of importance spiral out of control when they’re not being kept in check.

There’s no fairy dust to solve this problem – I just need to crack down harder on my self-control and routine every day. I rely a little too heavily on passion as a substitute for discipline, and it’s time to nut up and get shit done.

What is a positive message you would give others?: The best way to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something. Don’t wait for good things to happen to you. If you go out and make some good things happen, you will fill the world with hope, you will fill yourself with hope.

what is some things you wanna tell people in the world and be honest? : All I have is that every hustler out there shouldn’t relent. Keep grinding till you make it. “Hustle in silence, let your success speak for you”. I think this inspires someone.
