Introduce yourself?: Well hi! My name is Haley Ana Carrasco. I am 17 years old and I live in Odessa Texas.
What inspires you everyday?: I have a few people in my life that inspire me. I use people that do not have the blessing of doing what “normal” people can. So I get up and go throughout my day for those people whom had the opportunity taken away from them. I do my best to be bold in not only my faith, but everything I belive in for the people I love and cherish.
What is something you would change about people in the world?: One thing I would change about people in the world is how open, or rather how closed, minded people tend to be. People aren’t as open to ideas or suggestions as they could be. Many, not all of course, believe that while their way may not be the only way, but it is the only right way in their opinion. We should learn to respect others decisions. And communicate how we feel more appropriately. I’m not saying to stand down on what you believe in. But be bold in what you believe in. However, don’t shame someone else for being bold too.
How do you feel about the people in the world?: I feel that there are two people in this world. Good people. And people who have the potential to be good, but chose the path. I feel like so many people use their situations as an excuse to why they can’t be the best them. However, I’m living proof that’s not true. There are so many people that have come from nothing and I feel more poeple need to understand that.
I also feel people can be loving and the most amazing people. However, there are certain bad apples that harm the tree.
What is something you’ve struggled with in life?: I’ve struggled with many, many things in life. But one thing I have struggled with the most is not putting up a mask. So many people hide behind their own masks for whatever reason. Mine was because I was seen as the smart and happy girl. And I wasn’t allowed to make mistakes or be sad. People came to me for advice. But I felt like I wasn’t allowed to go to them for comfort.
However, I’m growing out of those bad habits and learning to weed out all of the “fake” in my life and truly grow with those whom really matter.
What is a positive message you would give others?: Just breathe. God loves you and will look out for you. Just take a dee breathe and do you.
if you could make a difference in the world how would you do that?: One thing I have learned in life is that change won’t come immediately. It does take work and dedication. But if I were to make a difference in the world, I would simply start by planting a seed. And that seed will be nurtured and cared for…. and in time, that seed will become something beautiful, big, and amazing.
