Lee Jardine Interview

My name is Lee Jardine and I am 15 years old. I am currently in year 11 studying my GCSE’s in England. I make music a lot as well as make films and I draw a lot too. My dream is to to be a music producer and a rapper, I have already released 3 EP’s this year and am planning 3 more before 2018.

What inspires you everyday

I have this piece of paper that I wrote down all of my goals and stuff on and I look at that when I wake up every day to give me direction and remind me where I want to be. I’m highly inspired by people I look up to aswell, people like family and friends but also people like Kanye West, Bob Dylan and Kevin Abstract motivate me and if you look into their stories of how they got so good at what they do, you realise that they just practiced loads, practice makes perfect. I just want to be the best Version of myself, I think I’ve always thought like that so I guess I’m quite lucky to have that mindset

What is something you would change about people in the world

I would change how easily people get offended. Everybody is so sensitive nowadays from example if you are on youtube and you see a comment that says ‘Rap music sucks’ a lot of people who disagree with that statement would feel the need to insult that person just because they have a different opinion. If you have a problem with someone or something, try sort it out and don’t get angry because that won’t get you anywhere in life

How do you feel about people in the world

I love the people of the world. As far as we know we are the only species in the universe with free will. I am not sure how corrupt things are with conspiracys about ‘the 1%’ and the ‘illuminati’ and stuff but at the moment at 15 years of age, I feel like anything is possible and I’m super grateful for life.

What is something you’ve struggled with in life

Last few years I’ve been feeling down most days and have found it hard to speak to people, like an anxiety kind of thing. Luckily more recently I’ve been getting over that but mental health is so important and the whole experience has made me aware of it and now I want to help others who experience similar or worse things

What is a positive message you would give others

Anything is possible. There will be obstacles in your way of course, but if you have patience and persistence, you can do anything you want

Last question if you could make a difference in the world how would you do that
Its way easier toake a difference to the world than people think. Even if you just say hello or smile at random people you see you may be cheering them up and therefore making the world a happier place. I also want my music to be the soundtrack to people’s lives. When I’m down or confused and stuff I listen to music and it always makes me feel better especially if it it’s relatable, this is the effect I wish to have on future generations and the world.
