Samari Clark Interview

My name is Samari Clark, I’m 18 years old and my favorite things to do are spending time with my family and pets, cooking, watching movies, and learning new things. I’m also very artistic as I love creating different things, whether that be editing videos and pictures, drawing, or acting.

What inspires you everyday

Well, my inspirations actually come from multiple things and multiple good people I meet in life. There’s a handful of people I look up to, but two of them who inspire me every day are God and my mom.

My mom’s hard work, dedication, and selflessness inspires me to do the same by working hard for what I want, dedicating myself to my decisions without fear and freely giving to others. Then God, who’s always doing remarkable things in my life and the lives of people around me. Everything he does, aligns with his word in the Bible. It all depicts kindheartedness, strength, fearlessness, and wisdom; all qualities I strive to apply to anything I do in life.

What is something you would change about people in the world

What I would change about people in the world is their mindsets. What I’ve noticed about people is that many of them are followers, so they don’t like to think for themselves and follow other people instead, which leads to deception, injustices, and corruption.

Being too much of a follower also causes people to not want to educate themselves even when there are available resources to do so. All in all, I believe that if we had more responsible and strong minded people, there would be a lot less confusion and conflict in the world.

What is your view on the people in the world

I see people in the world for who they are and who they were created to be; superb, special and powerful. Only that many of us are not trying to reach our full potential. We’re all capable of so much good, but there’s something about or in the world that wares on people to the point where they either don’t know or care to grow themselves into all they can be.

I feel that once we realize this and change ourselves for the better, we’ll be a lot happier with not only ourselves but the world around us.

What is something you’ve struggled with in life
Something I’ve struggled with in life is opening up to people. I’m the type of person who likes to stay to themselves so I don’t really talk much to people or share anything personal with them. Although I’ve gotten much better within the past two years, I’d say that this is still one of my struggles but I can gladly say that I’m continuing to make progress.

What is a positive message you would give others
I want people to hear that no matter what happens in life, no matter who does you wrong, and no matter the struggles you go through, always remember to stay positive and keep your head on straight. Stay true to yourself and don’t allow negativity to cause you to stumble and become someone you’re not.
I also want everyone to know that it’s important to do your part by working on who you are as a person regardless of what everyone else is doing. If you want a change to take place within the world, your community, your family, etc, you should keep in mind that before you try and change others, the same change must take place within yourself.

Last question if you could make a difference in the world how would you do that
I would make a difference in the world by striving to be the best I can be and treating others with respect and compassion. By doing this, it would help drive others to do the same. I’ve come to see that one of the most effective ways of making the word a better place is influence and to accomplish a better world, positive influences are key
