Luna Grey Interview

My name is Luna Grey and I am a Chicago music artist who is using music as my expression and way to get out negative experiences and energies that I have absorbed while living in this crazy world.

I started writing songs eight years ago when I was 15 and found it was the only thing that gave me a glimmer of light as I faces severe depressions and suicidal tendencies for years.

Slowly I began to become involved in more arts as I became more engulfed in this industry and am an active model and actress as well but music is my saving grace as it allows me to get all of the thoughts out of my head and use them to inspire others who are going through similar things

What inspires you everyday

I have a deep desire to be a part of the positive change for the future and I know how powerful music is

because it affected me in a lot of negative ways because i took things too literally. Now I want to be the light in this industry and be able to influence others for the better. Although I do often talk about dark subjects at the end of the day they are coping mechanisms I have utilized and I want to be able to use some of my dark experiences to channel others to the light at the end of the tunnel

What is something you would change about people in the world
I know how lonely you can feel when you feel misunderstood. For me feeling like no one truly got me and it was just me in my own head made me feel alone. I want to be able to help people who have went through things similar to me and give them music they can relate to so they feel less alone with their own minds
Though I do like fun and turn up songs I primarily write based around emotions and feelings and want to be someone who understands even if only through a song

What is your view on the people in the world
I think we need to be more open minded to other people and their situations and lifestyles. We are all the way we are based upon an entire lifetime of people we’ve met, lessons we’ve learned, conversations we’ve had, battles we’ve faced. To judge the way someone is, based upon a lifetime of things that only they have faced, is crazy. We need to all love one another
I think we all have good and bad in us but I think by our nature we are meant to be good. I think evil is something we learn through experience
Seeing it, hearing it and then absorbing it
Having positive outlets is how I believe we are able to express the darkness in us and become more pure in thought and action

What is something you’ve struggled with in life
Homelessness, drug abuse, depression, suicidal tendencies, domestic violence, self mutilation

What is a positive message you would give others
We are all human and no matter who is telling you what is best for you, nobody knows what’s better for you than you

Last question if you could make a difference in the world how would you do it
By being an image of positivity for my fans and the people I encounter daily and by putting out artwork made to inspire the youth
