Melissa Salvatore Interview

My name is Melissa Salvatore, I’m 18 years old and I’m from Miramar, Florida. I’m about to start college in the fall and I enjoy hanging out with friends, traveling, and listening to music.

What inspires you everyday

My mom inspires me everyday. She’s a hardworking woman who came to this country with almost nothing and turned it into something. Her hard work and dedication aspires me to go out and do bigger and better things.

What is something you would change about people in the world

I’d change people’s thoughts on people before even meeting them. It’s no fair to someone to be treated rude because of their appearance…you never know, they could be the nicest person.

What is your view on the people in the world

I think the world is currently divided. People can’t seem to agree on things, which is normal, but to get into big arguments and all, is not right to me. There are many people in this world who kindhearted and there’s also many people in this world who are rude, selfish, etc.

What is something you’ve struggled with in life

I’ve struggled with depression, mainly in my junior year of high school. It was the worst it had ever been.

What is a positive message you would give others

I’d tell people to never give up on their goals. Big or small, they can somehow be achieved.

Last question what is a goal you would like to achieve in the world

I would say world peace, but that’s deemed impossible, so I’ll just say that I’d like for people to get along with each other better. People don’t have to necessarily like each other, but in my eyes, it’s good having respect and toleration.
