I’m Emma and I’m 18 years old. I go to Wright State and aspire to be a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner one day!
What inspires you everyday
Other people. Mostly my family and friends but sometimes complete strangers inspire me too.
What is something you would change about people in the world
I wish I could change the way the world treats one another. Having an open mind for others beliefs and ways of life would make this world a much better place. With how the world is right now, we could all use and give a little kindness.
What is your view on society today
I would say society is, in lack of better words, corrupt. Society is always changing but at this stage, we are truly cruel. A lot of people are against having an open mind and heart and are fine with getting their way even if it hurts others. Of course there are those individuals that are completely opposite of that and I think we should be like them.
What is something you’ve struggled with
I can probably name a whole list but something that I’ve struggled with for most of my life is self image and weight loss. When I hit middle school is when I truly started worrying about my weight but didn’t know what to do about it. My parents sent me to weight loss camp to try to help me. I gained all the weight I lost at camp back shortly after getting home. I realized that weight loss isn’t just eating good food and working out, it is a complete lifestyle/mindset change.
What is a positive message you would give others
There isn’t a promise for tomorrow so live for today.
Last question what is a goal you would like to achieve in the future
I have many goals but one that I really hope to achieve is being an awesome mom. I lost my mom this past year and I never realized just how hard it would be without a mom until I lost her. My kids are gonna have an amazing life and are going to learn lots of lessons from me that will help them be successful.
