Hi my name is Claudia, I’m 17 years old and I live in El Paso, Texas.
What inspires you everyday

I’m inspired to live life everyday because I realize that any day could be the last day. And I don’t mean that in a bad way because after this, life gets even better. I’ll finally be with my father, Jesus Christ and altogether be in a happier and positive place. My inspiration to live day by day also comes from my dreams and goals that I have set for myself.
What is something you would change about people in the world

I would change the way we perceive our self’s by giving talks on how to accept and love you. Because I feel like knowing your self-worth, being confident and accepting everything about you, flaws and all will change the way we treat and love others in the world.
What is your view on society today

We are very attached to technology. Our society has become more dependent on it, but  there has been aspects that are good. Like we have become more lenient with gay marriage

We have become more supportive with the gay community, and women’s rights for example. So altogether I feel like we are going the right way just as long as the people continue to rise up and support causes that are important to them
What is something you’ve struggled with

I never really realized it, but I truly never loved myself the way I should. Growing up I told myself I liked me and that I have confidence. But my senior year, I started spending more time to myself. I’ve been discovering more things that I want and like. To go along with that, I toned down on my makeup, and so far it’s been three weeks since I’ve wore it. Doing that has helped me love myself with and without it, it has helped me gain more confidence.
What is a positive message you would give others

Take the time to focus on yourself, be selfish, so you can be ready to love another and spread good vibes out into the world
Last question what is a goal you would like to achieve in the future

Ever since sixth grade, I had a dream of becoming a Marine Biologist. So I will go to college, and attain my PhD in Marine Biology at Boston University. Then afterwards, I plan on conducting my own research to discover the mermaid and to save endangered marine mammals. Aside from my educational goals, I would love to achieve happiness through adventuring the world. To embrace the beauty that it has and offers.
