Alise Interview

Introduce yourself

My name is Alise, I’m in college at East Carolina University. I am a political science major and love traveling and new experiences.
What inspires you everyday

My parents. They have always supported me no matter what, they always push me to be a better person. I am really thankful for my family.
What is something you would change about people in the world

I feel like there are a lot of greedy people in the world, they see how things can benefit them and if there is no benefit than they don’t care for it. They see people as dollar signs and statistics rather than as someone’s son or daughter. They dehumanize people and especially in today’s technologically advanced world, we don’t take the time to be personable anymore and if I could change that I would.
What is your view on society today

I am very hopeful for society today, I think millennials have great ideas and are willing to accept change. I am excited and ready for the future of our society.
What is something you’ve struggled with

I’ve always struggled with keeping my eye on one thing. I’m quick to start but slow to finish, this has applied to my school, home life, and relationships.
What is a positive message you would give others

To stay true to yourself!! Today everyone is looking to fit in & that’s not always a good thing, standing out is what will set you apart from the crowd.
Last question what is a goal you would like to achieve in the future

I know it sounds cliche but I want to make a difference!! Being a political science major I want to change things and help people.
