Introduce yourself

My name is Jordan! I am an aspiring lawyer. I love music and literature and I am extremely opinionated.   I also have a passion for cosmetics and desserts.
What inspires you everyday?

Music inspires me and gives me motivation to get out of bed in the morning. I am also inspired by the brave people who have been protesting the recent injustices done to us by our government lately. Anyone who works to make the world a better place always encourages me to do the same.
What is something you would change about people in the world?

I wish everyone would learn to think like me! Haha no I’m kidding. On a serious note, I wish the people in the world would understand that everyone is different and will make different choices than them and I wish people could change to be okay with that. Free will is extremely important to me and to personal happiness.
What is your view on society today?

Society today is really concerning to me. We seem to be regressing instead of improving and that type of mindset is not sustainable. I wish people would be more accepting of others and our differences and I hope that people begin to stand up to the people who try to keep us all down.
What is something you’ve struggled with?

I’ve struggled with depression, anxiety, self harm, suicidal thoughts, and as a result I lost many good friends and got sucked into a depressive culture where everyone around me also self harmed. It felt normal. I’m better now thankfully. I’ve also struggled with coming out as bisexual and the stigmas of that.
What is a positive message you would give others?

I would tell them that no matter what it is you’re going through, you’re never alone. There is always a support system out there for you, be ur friends, family, online groups, physical groups, religious beliefs, etc.
Last question what is your definition of a peaceful world?

A peaceful world is a world full of acceptance and humane and conservative interactions with our environment. There should be no more stigma against anyone for their religion, sexuality, gender identity, body decisions, etc. That is my hope for the future. A peaceful world.
